Christmas Day in Utah

So for breakfast I made Panetonne french toast.

Alexis unwrapped her gifts.

And then, throughout the day the family came over to Grandma and Grandpa Nichols' house.

We had such a great time and it was so good to see everyone!

Christmas in Utah, family fun

It snowed so much that the Nebo School District actually had a "Snow Day!" This never happens in Utah.

Even though Alexis didn't have to go to school, she was still enjoying the snow!

The family Christmas party was a lot of fun. Alexis had fun with all her cousins and I enjoyed catching up with everyone.

Aren't cousins the best!!!

Christmas in Utah

While we were in Utah we had to stop at some favorites for lunch. Dianne and I went to the Trolley. They have the best salads. We had a great time catching up.

Brick Oven is another favorite. Their apple beer and root beer is the best! We had a great time catching up with Tammy and McKenna and Kimberly joined us, too!

Young Women in Excellence

Alexis decided to wear this dress to Young women in Excellence and I couldn't resist giving her this necklace that went with her dress. Kimberly has been working with Alexis on the Personal Progress program. For her project this year Alexis decided to read the Book of Mormon. WOW! I'm so proud of her and so impressed with her choice to do this.

Thanksgiving

The morning started with Ebelskiver's filled with pumpkin pecan butter and cream cheese. We stayed home this year for Thanksgiving and I decided to cook everything, and I mean everything. This is the first Turkey I've ever cook. I know, my dad always cooked the Thanksgiving turkey. I basted the turkey with olive oil infused with lemon peel, rosemary and garlic. It actually turned out pretty good.

I also made a pumpkin pie and Kimberly made a pecan and banoffee pie, delicious.

Kimberly joined us along with Jody, Anna, and Maggie. Very memorable and enjoyable Thanksgiving!
