Alexis' entire class went to Washington DC, via very comfortable charter busses, to see "Little Shop of Horrors" at Ford's Theatre. Her seat was on the third row, along with a live orchestra, which made this such an awesome experience. It's the theatre where Abraham Lincoln was shot. They stll have plays there. Check out, Fordstheatre.org. They also went to the museum across the street.
After the play, they went to the Old Post Office Pavillion for lunch. There is an amazing view of DC from the top of this building. Alexis got to spend the entire day with her friends from school and had an amazing time. What a fun, fun, fieldtrip!!!! I'm so glad she was able to have this opportunity and experience that she'll never forget.

SPRING!!!
Spring in the East is so beautiful. I love all the colors of the many different blossoms and flowers. 
Easter

Since Easter weekend also happened to be conference weekend, we made our traditional Little Citrus Muffins, cream cheese scrambled eggs and German Apple Pancakes for Saturday and Sunday Breakfasts. We lounged around, snaking on Easter candy and being fed spirtually by the prophets and apostles. For dinner Kimberly's friend, Allison came down and we had ham and melt in your mouth potatoes, with Strawberry Pie for dessert.
Historic Powhatan Resort, Williamsburg, VA
This was such a beautiful place to stay. It's right along James River. They have a swimming pool, tennis courts, bikes you can rent and on and on and on. It's with a few miles of Jamestown, too. 
I love the blossoms on the trees.
I so needed to soak my feet after a long-fun filled day at Busch Gardens. 
The room we stayed in had a hot tub in it. It felt so, so good after walking around all day having fun. Colonial Williamsburg, VA
Over 200 different kinds of cheeses, Alexis was in total HEAVEN!!!!
They have delicious sandwiches. 
Of course, we had to stop at the Candy Store. Alexis couldn't resist a chocolate covered carmel apple. Can't say I blame her.
Busch Gardens, Williamsburg, VA
We spent spring break at Busch Gardens. Valerie came with us and we had a ton of fun.
The theme of the park is Europe, so different sections of the park are different countries in Europe. Wine making in Italy and the food was actually really good, best amusement park food, I've ever had.
Germany. They have shows and activities, along with several rides.
They have some really fun roller coasters at this park. I'll post more pictures later. The one in the background is called the Lock Ness Monster...hence Scotland. A really jerky, fast, and part of the ride you were in a tunnel that was completely dark. It is a beautiful park and there are even rides that go over the James River.
