Utah, Day 7

Last day in Utah we headed up see Christmas Carol on the Imax in 3D with Madison, Sydney, Hannah, Keara and Joy. Jane and Larry met us in Salt Lake.

Dinner at the Cheesecake Factory. YUMMY!!!

Jane's babies all decked out with their winter coats and reindeer antler's that light up.

Temple Square with the gang. It was even fairly warm, YEAH!!! So beautiful.

Ben met us there with his girlfriend, Christina.
Having some fun at the temple.

We had such a great time in Utah. Wonderful memories. It was so good seeing everyone. Now, it's time for everyone to come to DC!!!!

Utah, Day 5

Had lunch with Dianne at Red Robin. She is so amazing. She does it all. Wakes up at 3 for a run at 4:30, supermom of six very active children, and cooks amazing dinners.
After lunch Melinda, Katelyn, Taylor, Sydney and I watched Planet 51. Lots of fun spending time with them.

Christopher and Diane's new baby William. So adorable. Dinner at the Trolley and then Alexis was off to Mark and Lisa's for a sleepover and I went to help Joy make a few pies, and by a few I mean like nine pies, cheesecake, and cookies. We were up until 1 am baking.

Utah, Day 4

We went to my nephew, Josh's birthday at Tucanos. Then Alexis went to Park City with Steve and Cindy Bartell's family. She had a great time swimming and watching the movie Up. Me, Joy, Sydney, Tammy, and my mother went to dinner at Guru's and then say Blind Side, which is an excellent movie.

Utah, Day 3

Lunch with Brooke, Alexis, Madison, and McKenna. Brick oven pizza and apple beer is the best!!!

New Moon again, with four 13-year-olds. I saw the movie in a whole new perspective. Definitely a fun crowd to see it with again. Ben meet us for dinner and the best ice cream ever at the Creamery.

Utah, Day 2

We went to church with Joy, the wards in Utah are huge. It was like going to stake conference in Virginia. She made us Yummy Korean Bolgogi. It's the best. Alexis has been friends with Mckenna and Makenna since she was 3 years old. I couldn't believe how much they had all grown up.
Official teenagers. It's so much better to text each other when that person is sitting right next to you.
My nephews Eli and Taylor. Adorable. They have grown so much.

Utah, Day 1

We spent Thanksgiving week in Utah. As soon as we stepped off the plane we headed to the Mayan for dinner with Joy and David's family, then onto New Moon. What a great movie and we watched it with a great crowd.

Utah, Day 6 Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving lunch at my sister Cindy's. It was so good to see everyone again.

My sister Jane brought Chewy and Rascal.

Then we were off the Park City for Thanksgiving dinner with Alexis' Dad's family. What a beautiful drive it was. Alexis went swimming again. The pool was so, so warm, half of it is outside. There was even a little snow there.

Then Alexis, Madison, and Hannah had a sleepover at my mom's. They played board games and What if...

Cousin Amy's Diner

So proud of Alexis, she had a lead role in her middle school play. She did an amazing job and had tons of fun.
She was a waitress named Vanessa with lots of attitude.
Pouring salt on a customer's food and loving every minute of it.

Left Megan, middle Devin, right Alexis.
Synopsis: Have a seat wherever you like! Cousin Amy's Diner will do whatever it takes to make its customers happy...or not. Jordan, the manager, is saddled with two high school waitresses who prefer gossip and causing mischief to doing any actual work. No matter -- it's virtually impossible to please this colorful array of customers...not that anyone is trying! When a well-known celebrity shows up, will everything go up in smoke? Full of zany one-liners and clever twists and turns. Oh...and don't forget to tip.

Halloween Six Flags, Washington DC

We spent Halloween at Six Flags. They had really great decorations and even a haunted maze.
They went on so, so many rides.

Of course, they wanted to ride the sky coaster again. The guy at the bottom was throwing them snicker's. They tried and tried and tried to catch them. The ended up just handing them to them.

Alexis dressed up as a fairy this year.

Fall, Shenandoah Mountains 10-24-09

The fall in the East is so beautiful. This picture doesn't show how beautiful the mountains are.
All the colors are so vibrant and they are everywhere. This one was right by my house.

Erie, PA 10-9-09

We spent the weekend visiting friends in Erie, PA. Some of our friends from Harrisonburg moved to Erie for a few months. We decided to go to the zoo.

Still a little kid at heart.

It was a quick weekend trip. We had a great time. We even celebrated Anna's birthday.
