1st visit to DC as Virginians

The 1st weekend we drove to Kimberly's in Alexandria. We went on paddle boats on the Tidal Basin by the Jefferson Memorial. We also went to the Lincoln Memorial and were able to see the Washington Monument, The Reflecting Pool, The Capitol, Vietnam War Memorial, World War II Memorial, and Korean War Memorial.

Kimberly also took us to Trader Joe's and World Market, where we got yummy, treats. Alexis especially loved the mini peanut butter cups.

"Go east young women"

Realizing on Friday, August 15, 2008 that I would start work on August 25, I knew we had to start our trek east on Wednesdsay the 20th, which meant only 2 days to pack everything, my flight didn't arrive in Utah until late Saturday the 16th. It's amazing how much can actually be done in such a short amount of time, especially with the Lord's help and the help of family and friends.

Harrisonburg

Tuesday, August 12, 2008 as I was driving to Harrisonburg to interview, it was absolutey beautiful. Harrisonburg is surrounded by the Shenandoah National Park to the east and George Washington National Forest to the west. The interview obviously went well. I received a phone call on Friday, August 15, while at the Holocust Museum in DC, that I would start work at Hart Reporting on Monday August 25. My heart standing pounding extremely fast. I was so excited. I'm finally going to be a Court Reporter.

And I was led by the Spirit, not knowing beforehand the things which I should do.

I came out to Virginia for the 4th of July, 2008. I fell completely in love with the area, especially the bike ride along the Potomac to Mount Vernon. I decided it was time to "make the move." After many hours of prayer, reading about Lehi being led by the Lord to leave everything and go into the wilderness...along with many other instances leading me in this direction, I decided to submit resumes to several Court Reporting Firms in Virginia.
